Wedding Feature: Kala & Alex 07.24.2021 | COuntry Meadows Barn

“Our relationship began over a plate of cookies.”

We just love a good love story.

Kala and Alex’s story began with the exchange of some homemade treats in Lyndonville, Vermont. Kala, known for her kind gestures, welcomed Alex to the neighborhood with a plate of cookies. They went on to exchange flirtatious banter while shoveling their driveways throughout the snowy winter of 2013, marking the beginning of their relationship.

The following spring, Alex accepted a position at AccuWeather in Wichita, Kansas, while Kala remained to teach in Vermont. They maintained a long-distance relationship for three years, spending every vacation, holiday, and summer together.

Finally, the couple moved to upstate New York together, which is where they ultimately ended up getting married. Throughout their wedding at the Country Meadows Barn in Fort Ann, New York, our team witnessed countless beautiful moments, all of which reflected the unwavering bond between Kala and Alex.

From the personalized touches, such as notes from Kala’s young students, to the sparkler send-off, it was the perfect celebration of love, and one we were so happy to be a part of.
